Day 4, I hate to see this number go up.
We went to Kapalua but didn't even get to the water. The swell was just too rough so got back in the car and headed to Honolua. The word is getting out too that this is the place to go right now. The rest of the island seems to be bad. Even though Honloua isn't being hit directly by the swell I think the passing currents swirl in clouding it up earlier than normal. Didn't do much in the afternoon. Did drive up to Makawao to pick up a couple things then tried out Leoda's in Olowalu for dinner.
A BIG Ringtail Surgeonfish
Whitebar Surgeonfish
Always got have a humu thrown in there.
Teardrop Butterflyfish
Goldring Surgeonfish
Whitemouthed moray
I was very excited when I saw these little guys. I haven't seen any Chocolate Dipped Chomis' in a few years. I just wished they posed a little better. Their kind of shy.
Agile Chromis along with a Manybar Goatfish.
Bullethead Rockskipper. Doesn't he have a great smile?
Whitesaddle Goatfish
Bluestripe Butterflyfish
Redbarred Hawkfish
Milletseed Butterflyfish
A goatfish getting cleanup.
The famous Honolua Bay Hawaiian Flagtail school.
A Whitemouthed moray swimming across the reef.
Love these little guys. Blackfin Chromis and the bigger brown one is an Agile Chromis.
I loved this group when I ran across it yesterday. I haven't seen Pennant Butterflyfish in 12 years. But there was a Moorish Idol with them so you can see the difference between the two.
Blue-eye Damselfish
Bluestipped Snapper
Chocolate dipped Chromis
Another friendly Saddle Wrasse.
A pack of 3 big Bluefin Trevally was cruising around the bay looking for breakfast.
